MeMadeMay 2019 Day 30

“MeMadeMay (2019) day 30! Today is just stunningly beautiful here in Chicago, and so I got over my fear of being arbitrarily yelled at for no reason and took my photos in the community garden at Waters Elementary. All the plants smell so heavenly!”

Ahh, the first time I took photos at Waters’ community garden. This is definitely a favorite spot for me. I love having all this green just a few blocks from my apartment. Funny story, I’ve lived in my apartment since… about 2011, I think. And it took me years to cross Western heading west. Like, an embarrassing amount of time. I just never had a reason to. And then one day, on a whim, I decided to take a walk in a different direction from usual, and I went over there, and there was this whole city block of lush green, and I was like “WHAT IS THIS PLACE?”

And I’m pretty sure my cousin, Rebecca, who lived directly downstairs from me at the time, was like “How did you not know about this??”

…Anyway, my obnoxious pink shorts are still Simplicity 6946.
