MeMadeMay 2019 Day 6
“MeMadeMay (2019) day 6. This circle skirt is one of the very first human-sized garments I ever made. Clearly, I’ve made far more pants/skirts/shorts than tops, which is getting only slightly annoying as we get further into May. Skirt is crepe from the Textile Discount Outlet.”
This skirt was, indeed the second human-sized thing I ever made, after the vest that I used in my debut burlesque act. The seams are raw on the inside, and I think the hem might only be turned up once, and the zipper is the full length of the skirt (it was also originally for a burlesque act). I still have it, and while I don’t wear it often (I don’t tend to wear skirts a lot… I can’t seem to figure out when I’m supposed to), I do still enjoy it.
Six years/seven Mays later, and I still have far more skirts/dresses/pants/shorts than I do tops. Oops.
As always, if you’re new to the blog, or to MeMadeMay, you can read my overview here!
